The Security Industry Federation (SIF) are the trade union for security professionals in the UK. For too long security workers have had to make do with unions that do not have the industry in their blood, now they have a trade union that is run by experienced security professionals who have the interests of the industry at heart. Founded in the summer of 2022 the SIF have quickly shown the industry that they exist to support frontline workers and employers in all aspects of mediation, representation and dispute resolution. This has led to the UK Certification Officer accrediting the Security Industry Federation with official trade union status and adding their name to the list of UK trade unions. Most importantly, the SIF are a union that wants to improve the standards of the UK security industry and enjoy a good relationship with the Security Industry Authority (SIA) and many leading industry associations and employers. As well as being the only trade union whose membership is exclusively for UK security workers, the SIF offer their members legal cover, wellbeing support, counselling and discounts across many UK brands all for just £10.99 a month.
