Safety-compliant hijab now available to frontline officers

Following yesterday's World Hijab Day, we are pleased to announce a partnership with Blue Light Hijab that brings important news for the security industry.

The Blue Light Hijab Project is a pioneering initiative from Leicestershire Police, creating a bespoke, safety-compliant hijab for Muslim women on the frontline. Born from two decades of work to address the lack of suitable religious headwear in policing, it was developed in collaboration with De Montfort University to balance modesty, comfort, and operational safety.

From today, we can confirm it will now be available to women across the frontline in the private security sector and beyond.

"This partnership is personal to me. I want Muslim women to feel seen, respected and valued in protective services. You belong. You matter. And we will continue to remove barriers, not just talk about them."

Satia Rai DIR.IPSA F.ISRM MSyl, CEO
