'We Speak Up!' White Ribbon Day 2025 campaign launched

IPSA Event

IPSA is a proud supporter of White Ribbon UK and is sharing the message for this year's White Ribbon Day, taking place on 25 November. This year’s theme is 'We Speak Up!'

Letting sexism slide puts women and girls at risk. Sexist jokes, catcalling, staring, and comments might seem harmless, but they are serious because they can lead to violence and abuse. This White Ribbon Day 2025, we want more men to use their voices and speak up to create a world where everyone is safe, equal and respected. Every time we ignore something that doesn’t feel right, we miss a chance to set a better example.

What is White Ribbon Day?

White Ribbon Day is an annual event observed on 25 November each year to raise awareness about and prevent violence against women and girls. It launches 16 Days of activism, which continues until 10 December (Human Rights Day).

How you can participate in White Ribbon Day 2025

Wear a White Ribbon: Show your support and commitment by wearing a white ribbon on 25 November.

Engage in conversations: Talk to your friends, family, and colleagues about the importance of ending violence and challenging harmful stereotypes.

Support organisations: Donate to or volunteer with organizations that provide resources and support to survivors of gender-based violence.
