Ethical Code of Conduct
Members of IPSA shall provide the requirements deemed essential to ensure that proper standards are always maintained in the field of industrial, commercial and domestic security
This Code of Conduct contains obligations for all members and is aligned to the Objects of The Association. Members of IPSA shall:
1. Establish great relationships with their colleagues based on confidence, trust, and respect.
2. Protect all confidential and sensitive data.
3. Support and understand the customs, practices, culture, and personal beliefs of others and recognise the importance of opportunity and diversity and inclusion.
4. Exhibit proper standards of appearance and behaviour and promote the security profession at all times.
5. Seek opportunities to exchange ideas, knowledge, information and experience with other members and the IPSA Board through the Front-Line Forum.
6. Uphold good conduct and foster professional relationships when dealing with the Media. Refer to the IPSA-NUJ Guideline for assistance.
IPSA takes concerns about alleged breaches of the code very seriously and failure to adhere to the conduct may lead to consideration of suitability for membership. This Code of Conduct may be amended from time to time to reflect the changes in law and best practice
