Physical Interventions BTEC Level 2 Certificate

This course is designed to give you the opportunity to achieve the nationally recognised level 2 Award in Physical Restraint practice specific to the security sector.

This 2 day course meets the new PI module requirements set out by the SIA, as well as given you extra skills needed in restrictive physical restraint techniques and distraction techniques training.

The course includes the following modules:

• Law & Legislation in regards to use of force
• Risks associated with restraint including positional asphyxia
• Knife & edged weapon awareness
• Risks associated with drugs & alcohol
• Non restrictive methods of control
• More restrictive methods of control
• Breakaway & Disengagement skills
• Dynamic Training Scenarios and more

Requirements:

The course requires a minimum of 8 people. Ideal class sizes would be 12. But, we can accommodate up to 20 people with the use of additional instructors. For more details please call or email.

Certification

Participants receive a BTEC Level 2 certificate on successful completion of the course.
