The importance of effective risk assessment and security surveying within the security industry is paramount. This comprehensive two-day course has been designed to enhance the operational ability of those individuals who have the responsibility for conducting Risk Analysis and Security Surveys in preparation for recommending or supplying on-site security solutions. This course will provide those responsible for such matters with the tools and underpinning knowledge.
Who should attend?
The course is designed for persons who will be conducting security surveys preparatory to recommending security solutions. It is also useful for persons compiling Assignment Instructions for particular sites or who require to understand the requirements for compliance with British Standards and/or Health and Safety legislation.
Course Contents:
The contents of the course cover the full requirements of the British Standards: BS 7499, BS 7960 and BS 7984. The course also assists companies in establishing compliance with the Health And Safety at Work Act.
The course is very intensive and covers the following operational topics:
• Principal types and reasons for surveys
• Risk Analysis principles
• Identifying needs with clients and/or their representatives
• Conducting a security survey
• Preparing the security survey report
• Preparing Assignment Instructions
The contents of the course can be adapted to meet individual organisational needs, e.g., building sites, office blocks and major distribution and storage centres. Additional modules may be included to meet specific customer requirements.
Assessment
Assimilation of knowledge is assessed by examination.
Certification
Successful participants receive the IPSA Risk Analysis and Security Surveying certificate. |
