and Removal, Custodial Services etc.
Criteria:
Companies satisfying inspection criteria
in compliance with British Standards relevant
to the services provided.
Inspection:
IPSA Inspection or Third Party Inspection
or, Quality Management assessments acceptable
provided British Standards are specifically
certified as having been satisfactorily
inspected.
Membership
Certificate states category of membership,
type of inspection and details of services
reviewed.
Logo: Use
of Member Company or Inspected Company logo
allowed as appropriate.

| Probationary Company
(PC) |
|
Guarding
Sector Companies: Security Guarding, patrolling
and response services, Keyholding services,
Door Supervisors (Stewards), Close Protection,
Cash in Transit, Vehicle Immobilisation
and Removal, Custodial Services etc.
Criteria:
Companies working towards compliance with
British Standards relevant to the services
provided.
Inspection:
Pre-Inspection advisory visits leading to
full inspection and compliance within 12
months or earlier.
Membership
Certificate states category of membership
and details of services reviewed.
Logo: Use
of Probationary Member Company logo allowed.

(CC) |
|
Company
- providing security advice, risk assessments
, and other consultancy services.
Inspection
- company must be inspected to confirm consultants
engaged are suitably qualified/experienced
and are screened to BS 7858
Membership

services .
Logo -
Use of Member Company or Inspected Company
logo allowed as appropriate.

(TC) |
|
Company
- providing vocational, academic or skills
training to the security industry and other
sectors.
Inspection
- company subject to IPSA Training Committee
assessment / inspection re quality control,
qualifications of trainers, accreditation
of courses and must provide company information
and accounts annually.

certificate shows category of membership,
type of services.
Logo -
Use of Training Company logo allowed.

| Systems / Equipment Company
(SE) |
|
Company
- manufacturing, retailing, installing,
and servicing of security products or equipment
(alarms, CCTV, Transport etc) or providing
other security services, e.g. secure waste
destruction; or diversified services.
Inspection
- Company must be inspected to relevant
British Standards (where the Association
does not have the technical expertise, certificates
issued by a third party e.g. NSI, SSAIB
will be accepted)
Membership
Certificate states category of membership,
type of inspection and details of inspected
services provided.
Logo: Use
of Member Company or Inspected company logo
allowed as appropriate.

| Associated Company
(AC) |
|
Company
- providing general services to the security
industry, e.g. Recruitment, Insurance, and
including other Professional Bodies, Trade
Unions and Trade Associations, Emergency
Services, Local and Central Government bodies,
Centres of Education, Publishing and supplier
of other security related services e.g locksmiths,
boarding up and like services; also in-house
security departments of companies.
Inspection
- company not subject to IPSA inspection
but provide company information and accounts
annually.
Membership
certificate shows category of membership,
type of services.
Logo -
Use of Associated Member Company logo allowed.

multiple categories (SC, CC, SE) will be allocated
to appropriate generic category - SC.
